The Serbisyo Muna project addresses the vital concerns that the day-to-day life of every Filipino – food and nutrition, livelihood, peace and order, health, community development and basic infrastructure.

The Serbisyo Muna project of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is an all-encompassing endeavor which gathers the socio-civic and developmental projects of several key government agencies in cooperation with the local government units, private sector and other non-government groups.

The Serbisyo Muna project addresses the vital concerns that affect the day-to-day life of every Filipino – food and nutrition, livelihood, peace and order, health, community development and basic infrastructure.

Couples for Christ – Malabon Chapter

Among the projects of the Serbisyo Muna! project are:

Serbisyo Muna! Centers – Kadiwa-type grocery stores which will make quality, lower-priced commodities accessible to the poor.

Metro Pulis – the Metro Pulis is a program which aims to empower the local police force. It includes the provision of new outposts and mobile vehicles for the Philippine National Police.

Rolling stores – NFA mobile stores which rove the cities and sell lower-priced rice and other commodities

Botika ng Bayan – a project of the PITC, stores which sell quality medicine at much lower prices than commercial drugstores

Botika ng Barangay – a project of the DOH and the Ms. Berna Romulo-Puyat of the Office of Political Coalition Affairs, makes quality medicine affordable for the poor

Livelihood seminars/Free demos – conducted by TESDA in various partner schools and during Serbisyo Muna! caravans; includes basic haircutting, manicure and pedicure, reflexology, etc.

Supplemental Feeding – a project of the DSWD; provides day care children with nutritious food in order to decrease incidence of malnutrition and raise school attendance

Food for School Program – a project of the DepEd; provides select elementary school children from poor families with one kilo of rice for every day of attendance in school; aims to encourage attendance to school and help solve problem of malnutrition

Patubig Livelihood ni PGMA – a project of PAGCOR, in cooperation with the MWSS, Maynilad and Manila Water; it provides barangays with an alternative source of livelihood through the resale of water

Kabuhayan sa Paggugulayan at Bulaklakan – a project of the DA; teaches communities to grow their own urban gardens and use it as an alternative source of livelihood

Urban gardening and Values Enrichment Lectures – conducted by the DepEd to broaden knowledge of children and their parents

Beautification and cleanliness campaign – a continuous service of the DPWH; maintenance of the major thoroughfares in Metro Manila

Road Ethics Seminar – conducted by the DOTC; educates jeepney and tricycle drivers on road ethics and traffic rules

Techno-van presentation – a project of the TLRC to bring its livelihood seminars on the road

Serbisyo Muna! caravan – a one-day affair which brings together the services of the Serbsiyo Muna! taskforce; includes a free medical and dental mission; livelihood seminars; deployment of rolling stores; inauguration of Metro Pulis outposts; supplemental feeding; etc; held at least twice a month in various locations in NCR.

Project Oyster – a project of the PNP and the DPWH; provides out-of-school youth with employment in order to prevent them from getting into illegal activities

Installation of fire hydrants – a project of Manila Water and Maynilad

Distribution of information materials on various subjects like energy conservation – conducted by Meralco, DOE, and the PIA.

Passport on Wheels – same-day off-site passport processing services from the DFA’s Mobile Passport group.

Off-site Driver’s License Renewal – a project of the LTO that offers same-day driver’s license renewal services.

Mobile NBI Clearance – off-site renewal of clearances by the National Bureau of Investigation

Energy-Saving Seminar – offered by the DOE’s Gender and Development division which conducts lectures on proper LPG handling, electricity consumption tips, and many others.

Mobile SSS Services – off-site processing of membership applications, information assistance for current members, and other related matters.
